Alex is an established director and field producer specializing in blue chip natural history and underwater wildlife content. Most recently, he directed complex sequences for Silverback films' latest conservation feature film "David Attenborough: Ocean" followed by work in three oceans over 4 years working on Netflix's newest landmark ocean documentary 'Our Oceans' released in 2024, and field producing a sequence on the BBC's latest epic 'Planet Earth III". 

He has worked in a variety of marine environments, shooting from Antarctica to the Galapagos while working with wildlife, fishermen and and scientists to tell compelling ocean stories. 

 

In addition to work on high end wildlife films, he has produced a series of films for sci- comm broadcaster CuriosityStream and development on a variety of other projects in the natural history space. He is an avid waterman, coast guard certified boat captain, rebreather diver, and accomplished leader in the field and behind the scenes.
